Children Come from Everywhere!

Adoption Horizons has placed children from the USA and 17 other different foreign countries. While some programs have been more popular than others, we welcome interest from families who want to explore adoption in any area of the world.  We have had children placed from South and Latin America, Asia, Soviet Union, India and Africa.  Many of our children have come from the California Waiting Children's program (USA) and many have been placed by local birthmothers.

Adoption Horizons Quilt Raffle

This is a reminder that we still have raffle tickets available for pre-sale. If you would like to sell tickets to support our fundraiser please contact the office soon, as the raffle is only a month away.

Also, if you have sold tickets and have not yet returned your ticket envelope, please do so as soon as possible as we would like to start collecting them.

We may sell tickets at the two Safeway's in Eureka on September 16th from 10:00 to 12:30 and 1:30 to 4:00. We will have more information on this if anyone is interested in helping Lisa with this project. If you are interested in helping, please send an email and Lisa will get in touch with you.

Last Friday of the Month

Please keep in mind that the office is closed on the last Friday of each month for an Staff In-Service day. You are welcome to call and leave a message on the voicemail, which will be returned on the following Monday afternoon. We will send an e-mail reminder the week of the closure.

Did You Get Our Newsletter?

Our annual newsletter was sent about two weeks ago. If you did not receive your copy please contact the office to check for an address error or to add your name to our newsletter mailing list.

This is the same list we use to send out invites to our family gatherings and we don't want to forget anyone!

We have extra copies left over so please let us know if you need an extra one.

Our photo gallery is now complete and should be fully functional. Please feel free to register an account and upload pictures of your kids! If you have any questions please let us know.

If you want us to upload the pictures for you, please email, mail, or stop by with copies and we will scan them for you.

Thank You to a Special Family

Adoption Horizons would like to thank Erin and Eric Jones and family for their help in assembling the recent newsletter for mailing. We sent an email requesting help and the Jones family came three days in a row to get the job done. With all the pressing deadlines and client needs these big jobs are often hard to pull together, but with the help of the Jones family this project was completed in no time.

So a big thanks to Erin, Eric, Sarah, Samantha, Timothy, Peter, and Noah! You are life savers!
