Recent Placements!
Five families become parents. A local, female infant placement surprised a waiting family; three families are in China meeting their new daughters and son; and another family is preparing to leave for Ethiopia to meet her new daughter as soon as she gets the green light.

Adoption Horizons T-Shirts!
We still have a lot of t-shirts to sell. We have all sizes and colors. This our annual "feel good" promotion, so if you aren't wearing your colors, come by and pick one or two or more out. Children sizes are $10 and adults are $12.

Resource Development!
Calling all books, magazines, and more! As our website grows, we want to add resources that you as families have found particularly helpful. Please email us book titles, magazines, articles and such that you think others might find useful. Better yet, if you want to write a small book review, we will happily accept that, too.

Shu Yi's Classes!
Just another reminder that Shu Yi, our Senior Employment staff person is teaching Chinese language classes for children and adults. She has developed a wonderful workbook for children. She also has an hour-long PowerPoint show about the Chinese culture. She will be available Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 - 4:00 pm. Call to schedule an appointment.

24 Hour Drop Box!
Reminder that there is a locked, drop box located by the downstairs door. It is checked daily during the work week.

Infant and Childcare Classes!
Cindy Humphry, MRN, OB nurse at Mad River Hospital and wife of pediatrician Ted Humphry, MD, has offered to teach basic infant and childcare classes. In addition, Cindy is a certified car seat instructor. We are hoping to offer a class in December 2005. If you are interested, please email:

Wish List
We are continuing to evaluate how we can better present and display our materials.

Therefore...

1. We are looking to replace our old library hutch and entertainment center with some new or used tall bookcases for our library. New bookcases will cost about $800.

2. We would like to buy some newsletter display racks for the hall. As our materials and newsletters compile, we'd like to have place where they are readily available to new and prospective families.

We have already purchased new file cabinets and replaced our older desk. Contributions towards this items are still happily accepted.
